THE BEST TIME TO TRY OUT A TAI CHI CLASS - New Classes starting in April 2026.

      • Thinking of dropping into a Tai Chi Class? or Trying a 4-Pack? The best time to drop-in to a TQ Spirit Tai chi Class within first 2-3 weeks of the start of a new Tai Chi session. That's when we teach foundational movements and principles that every student- especially beginners-needs to get started on the right (or left) foot. If available, our 4-Pack option is a great way to see if Tai Chi resonates with you as a fitness/health regime. With that said, even a single Drop-In can be all it takes to discover how cool and perfectly suited it is for you! Please note: Drop-Ins and 4-Packs are limited and may sell out depending on the number of full-session registrations. Since Drop-ins or 4 -Packs could be in limited supply we recommend signing up as soon as registration opens. You can get on the Waitlist if they are not currently available.
      • You might not know this: Many tai chi forms take from 3 months to 9 months or longer to learn! If space is still available and you are late in signing up, please email us to learn about our "catch up" options. If space is no longer available then please get on our Waitlist.
      • Travelling? NO worries. We've got you covered if you want to register but know you'll be away. We understand that everyone is travelling at different times of the year. You want to get away but you might not want to miss your Tai Chi or Qigong class. We have people zooming in from all corners of the World! If you're planning to be away during the start of the session but still want to join one of our Tai Chi groups, we offer: Video catch-up options, Zoom-In from anywhere (if that option is offered for your class), and support to ease you back in when you return. Please note that we do not offer discounts if you are travelling and will miss classes.
      • New to Tai Chi? Start Strong. The first few weeks of class lay the foundation for everything that follows. That’s why it’s best to join early. But don’t worry—if you miss a class or two after you have signed up, we have catch-up supports to help you get up to speed.
      • Late to Register for Tai Chi? Consider Health Qigong! If a tai chi class you're interested in is full or already underway, consider trying Qigong in the meantime. Qigong teaches many of the core foundational principles as Tai Chi, making it a perfect stepping stone into the art.
      • Please note that the Tai Chi and Qigong classes fill up very quickly as space/spots for in-person classes, are limited. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your place in class.

The Year of Fire Horse

On February 16th, the Year of the Snake came to its natural completion, closing a cycle of inward cultivation. The Snake teaches patience, resilience, and the quiet strengthening that happens beyond the visible. Over the past year, we were invited to slow down, refine our awareness, and deepen our roots — preparing ourselves in ways that may not have always been obvious, but were deeply meaningful.

With the Lunar New Year on February 17th, we entered the Year of the Fire Horse — a powerful turning toward movement, vitality, and expression. The Horse carries the energy of warmth, courage, and forward momentum. It does not abandon the wisdom of the past, but brings it into motion. What was cultivated quietly during the Snake year now begins to live and breathe through action.

As we begin our Spring into Summer Tai Chi and Qigong sessions for April through July, we move in harmony with this natural shift. The body awakens. The breath deepens. The spirit lifts. We do not begin again as practitioners, whether we are beginners or long-timers, shaped by experience — ready to step forward with renewed energy, steady confidence, and a quiet trust in the path unfolding beneath our feet.

  • When attending an In-Person Drop-In class at any of the locations, please arrive at least 15-20 minutes in advance of your first class as there may be an additional waiver to sign. There will be someone there to welcome you.
