  • Drop-Ins are welcome anytime. Qigong exercises are easy to follow. Please try to register/pay at least 12 hours in advance.
  • Combo prices Available: Our most popular set of classes is our Zoom Only Tuesday Qigong + In-Person or On-Zoom Saturday Qigong. To sign up for the COMBO please sign up on the Saturday Qigong Page. The forms practiced on Tuesdays are always different from those practiced on Saturdays.

  • Fully Registered students for the Tuesday Zoom-On Qigong: $187.00 for 13 classes, tax included. If you can't sign up on the first day, there is a pro-rated option available. 
  • Tuesday Drop-Ins, first time: $20.00.  First-time drop-ins are welcome anytime.
  • Tuesday 4-Pack: $68.00  ($17.00/class).
  • When you try out our Drop-In or 4-packs, the Pro-Rated Option is always available for the balance of classes.
  • Our COMBO is amazing: Tuesday Qigong (Zoom Only) combined with our Saturday In-Person or Zoom Qigong: $349.00. To register for the COMBO go here: QIGONG COMBO
  • If you register for the COMBO you will also have the option to purchase Saturday (only) videos which you can use throughout the week. The add-on is $42.00 for 14 class videos. Adding in the Saturday Video will allow you the option to practice many times a week. 
  • Tuesday Qigong is a Zoom-Only class. When registering online, please try to pay for your Drop-In at least 12 hours in advance of the class. If you have a hard time registering online, please contact us by email or phone and we can help.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CLASS

Our Tuesday Rejuvenating Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) classes, Live-On-Zoom only,  are open to all students, including Newbies, for registration. You can join in anytime. Drop-In, pro-rated or purchase a 4-pack.

This 55 minute class will include a wide variety of Qigong forms: Health qigong forms that strengthen and stretch the body, mind and spirit; Healthy Organs qigong; Breathing meditations using abdominal breathing, reverse breathing, small and grand qi circulation; Toxic emotions and impurities release, and much more. We always start with a slow, flowing warm-up to calming music, after which you will follow the instructor in 2 or more Qigong forms. Every class is different!

First-time Drop-Ins Live-On-Zoom are welcome anytime, throughout the year for all our Qigong classes. No previous experience necessary. As a first-timer, if you want to drop-in we request that you register online and pay your drop-in fees at least 12 hours in advance of the class.

These classes are perfect for Newbies as detailed instructions is always provided. Long-time students of our Qigong classes tell us they really appreciate the variety.

What will we be practicing? Health Qigong exercises, Organ Qigong and Seasonal Qigong, whether it be Autumn, Winter, Spring or Summer, will be explored.

All the Qigong forms we practice combine to help train and strengthen the torso, condition the muscles, and increase physical stamina in a way that most other health and exercise regimes do not. These Qigong exercises can help strengthen the hips, knees and ankles, and improve the flexibility of many parts of the body. They can help improve movement of the spine and increase energy through various breathing techniques.

Those already in excellent physical conditioning will find Qigong a great add-in, while those who are wanting to heal from work stress, injury, illness, fatigue issues, and a multitude of health conditions, will find that Qigong an excellent stepping stone to better health.

Each week will be different. Since many people enjoy the Tuesday Qigong class, we make it easy for you to enjoy it twice a week. You can join us on Saturday mornings  (either on Zoom or In-Person) for another dedicated 55 minute Qigong class. Each Saturday class is different from the Tuesday class. Many students tell us that they gain huge benefits by practicing 2 classes each week.

A bonus to registering for both Tuesday and Saturday classes is that you also get the option to sign up for the weekly Saturday Qigong videos that you can use during the week. Two or three times a week is a great way to learn Qigong and reap the benefits of repeat practice.

More Information About Qigong

Qigong (or ch’i kung) is an internal Chinese meditative practice with over 3000 years of history. This ancient regime uses slow graceful movements, controlled breathing techniques, and meditation. It enhances mindfulness by incorporating the mind along with breathing and body movements to help cultivate and promote the circulation of qi within the human body, thus enhancing a practitioner’s overall health.

    Refund Policies – Video Policies – In-Person Covid Policies – On-Zoom Policies – Waiver 2022

    REFUND POLICIES
    1) Requests must be submitted in writing by email and is effective the date of the email.
    2) Refunds will not be given after the 3rd class unless it is for medical reasons.
    3) If you must stop class because you have contracted Covid 19 please contact us immediately.
    4) Refunds provided will be calculated in the following manner – Classes already taken will be converted to a Drop-In Rate of $15.00/class, plus an added administration fee of $10.00. The balance will be refunded and sent to you by Interac or by mail.
    5) Please note that if locations close due to Covid restrictions then all classes will continue on Zoom.
    6) Some In-Person locations have special event days where all classes will either be On-Zoom or In-Person at an alternate location. No credit for class missed will be provided.

    VIDEO POLICIES
    Whether On-Zoom or In-Person the registered student understands that the North Shore Tai Chi Spirit & Chinese Health Qigong organization has a strict no-video-of-the-Instructor or the Assistants without express written consent. Additionally, all students agree that any videos sent to them by the Instructor are for “your eyes only” and should never be shared with any other person or posted, in full or in part, on the Internet.

    IN-PERSON COVID POLICIES (as of April 2022)
    North Shore Tai-Chi Spirit & Chinese Health Qigong wants to create a safe place for indoor tai chi and qigong group practice. Many of our classes are both In-Person and On-Zoom at the same time.

    In accordance with the Provincial Health Authority wearing a mask will be a personal choice at this time. However, we will continue to require that all In-Person students practice social distancing.

    If a shut-down to all In-Person classes is mandated by the Provincial Health Authority, then all classes will continue on Zoom. No credit will be given to students unless they do not have adequate access to the Internet.

    ON-ZOOM POLICIES

    IN-PERSON OPTIONS FOR ZOOM
    Anyone signing up for In-Person classes will always have the option to be on Zoom where that option is available at that location. Some classes do not have the Zoom option.

    Any In-Person registration means that you are guaranteed a spot in the class. When and if the need arises: if you are not feeling well , if you are out-of-town, or if you are running late; On-Zoom is an option for you.

    WAIVER FOR ALL STUDENTS

    In registering for this class our Instructor assumes you have talked to your doctor before starting this health and fitness regime. If you have any medical conditions or physical concerns please participate at your own pace and also let your Instructor know by emailing taichispirit@shaw.ca.

    Agreement of Release and Waiver of Liability:
    I (referring to the student, the undersigned) voluntarily supply my contact information so that representatives of the North Shore Tai-Chi Spirit (& Chinese Health Qigong) can contact me regarding class changes, cancellations, course updates, and tuition reminders, and special event updates. Participation in tai chi & qigong classes involves exercise. Exercise can result in accidents or injuries. I assume the risk connected with participation in tai chi & qigong classes and represent that I am insufficiently good health and condition and do not suffer from any physical or mental impairment which would put me or anyone at risk of injury while receiving tai chi & qigong instruction from representatives of the North Shore Tai-Chi Spirit. I understand that North Shore Tai-Chi Spirit is a management company only. All Instructors represent themselves. I specifically agree that the North Shore Tai-Chi Spirit, the general manager, volunteers, and instructor(s) of any In-Person or Zoom classes I am participating in, and/or his associates, shall not be held liable for any claim, demand, cause of action of any kind, resulting from or related to my use of the facilities or instruction.
