In-Person Tuesday Rejuvenating Health Qigong & Tai Chi Fusion

Rejuvenating Health Qigong & Tai Chi Fusion – In-Person at North Lonsdale United Church

As spring unfolds, we invite you to step into a season of renewal with our Tuesday Rejuvenating Health Qigong & Tai Chi Fusion class at North Lonsdale United Church.

This in-person morning practice offers a beautiful blend of Health Qigong and Tai Chi, designed to gently awaken the body, calm the mind, and restore balance and vitality. Whether you are new to Qigong and Tai Chi or continuing your journey as a long-time practitioner, this class welcomes you just as you are—one mindful movement, one steady breath at a time.

Each class begins with gentle, Qigong-inspired warm-ups to loosen the joints, improve flexibility, and build balance through mindful stretching and light strengthening. We will practice a wide variety of easy-to-follow Qigong forms along with meditative breathing techniques that cultivate calm, focus, and steady energy.

During the final portion of class we'll continue to practice the basics of Tai Chi, which include posture, alignment, and foundational stances that support deeper Tai Chi practice over time. Added to this in our April-July session we'll explore a tai chi short form. Practicing both qigong and tai chi will help all to discover the similarities and the distinct qualities of Qigong and Tai Chi, and how each contributes to overall well-being.

Many students tell us that this morning practice gives them a spark of vitality that carries through the day—and often the entire week. Research consistently shows that Tai Chi and Qigong help reduce stress, lift mood, improve concentration, and support overall health—benefits that flow naturally into daily life.

This Tuesday morning class at North Lonsdale United Church may also be paired with our extremely popular Saturday morning session which is at Highlands United Church from 10:00-10:55am. Two times a week is truly for those wishing to deepen their weekly routine with two mornings of mindful movement and community connection.

This Tuesday morning class, taught in-person only at North Lonsdale United Church, welcomes all who have no previous experience and is perfect for long-timer practitioners. Come experience the balance of stillness and motion, and the joy of learning in a warm, supportive community.
