Each session is a chance to explore a multitude of Qigong forms, from flowing, meditative movements to more dynamic, strength-building sequences. Some are simple and soothing: others gently challenge your coordination and focus—but all are designed to cultivate vitality, balance, and inner harmony.

With an age range spanning from mid-20s to over 90, this class proves that Qigong is truly for everyone. Here, we move together, breathe together, and discover how energy can be cultivated and renewed at any stage of life. Whether you're looking to build strength, reduce stress, heal from injury, manage chronic pain, or support recovery from illness—including cancer, heart disease, and more—or to simply enjoy moving with a vibrant community, this is your space to connect with mind, body, and breath.

  • Awakening The Spirit, Chinese Health & Medical Qigong Exercises and Meditations
  • Type of Class: HYBRID: In-Person and On-Zoom
  • Saturday In-Person Location: Highlands United Church. See Map and Parking Directions below. 
  • Saturday Qigong Starts: Saturday, April 12th to July 12th. 14 classes.
  • There is also a COMBO option, that includes the Tuesday Rejuvenating Qigong(On Zoom). The COMBO allows you to practice twice a week! Please sign up for the COMBO on this Cart. The Combo starts on Tuesday, April 8th and you get the option to be In-Person or Live-On-Zoom on Saturdays, starting April 12th. 
  • Saturday Qigong Time: Please join us by 9:45am for a pre-warm-up walk around the Gym to up-tempo music. We start Qigong practice at 10:00am-10:55am, sometimes 10:05am-11:00am
  • Class Level: All levels, Newbies to more experienced are very welcome.
  • Drop-Ins are welcome anytime, so long as there is space. Last session, all drop-ins and 4 packs were put on a waiting list. Please register in advance or email us that you'd like to Drop-In. 
  • By choosing the Saturday Qigong class or the Tuesday-Saturday Qigong Combo you also get the option of ordering the weekly Saturday Videos that you can use to practice with at home during the week. Click here to: Read about the Value of Videos
  • Please note that the Saturday Qigong students will be practicing forms that are different from Tuesday Qigong class. Each week will be unique and a surprise!

  • BEST COMBO: Saturday Qigong + Tuesday Qigong – $364.00. COMBO students are also eligible to order the weekly Saturday Videos: $39.00. Register for this Combo on the Cart on this page.
  • Both In-Person and Live-On-Zoom is available. Zoom is available to everyone, even those who sign up for In-Person classes. It is a great option for travelers or if you just want to Zoom-In from home every now and again.
  • 4-Packs are extremely popular: $68.00. With a four pack you can truly experience the variety of Qigong exercises that are practiced in our classes before you commit to the balance of classes. At any time you can move to the pro-rated option.
  • Drop-Ins: $20.00. Normally, you can drop-in anytime. All the classes are easy-to-follow and no prior knowledge or experience is needed. If you decide you LOVE IT we can give you a pro-rated price or you can choose to purchase a 4-Pack.
  • If you are dropping in, In-Person, Only cash or e-transfer will be accepted. Also please ensure that you arrive in the gym at least 20 minutes in advance for your first class.
  • For those wanting to drop-in Live-On-Zoom please ensure you complete the Zoom registration in order to receive your login information in confirmation email.

Practicing Qigong builds and circulates energy (Qi or Chi) through the body. Qigong is an excellent addition to any walking, cardio or stretching regime that is already in place. No need to memorize any of the movements… unless you want to. Just follow along, breathe deeply and enjoy.

It is important to note that our Saturday Health Qigong class practices different forms each week, and the forms practiced on Saturday are almost always different than the Tuesday class. This format allows students to enjoy two different sessions each week.
