2024 TQ Spirit Drop-ins

On this page you will find updates for all our Qigong and Tai Chi classes starting in September 2024. Options vary depending on the class and the month. You can review all important details below.
UPDATE FOR HEALTH QIGONG DROP-INS - NEW SEPTEMBER CLASSES 2024
  • Join Health Qigong Anytime! No experience is required. Click on one of the links below to register on-line or get more information about each of these classes.
  • For both Qigong classes you have the option for a one-time drop-in, purchasing a 4-pack to try out multiple classes, or pro-rated (you can join in pro-rated anytime up to the last 5 classes).
  • Live-On-Zoom classes are options for both Health Qigong classes. You will need to register on-line. Payment is by Interac E-transfer only.
  • All In-Person students have the option to be Live-On-Zoom. This is a great option if you are travelling, encountering bad weather, or needing to be home instead of in-person (for any reason). All In-Person students will get the link for Zoom after registering. You'll then be prepared for both options.
  • For In-Person classes for Saturday Qigong you can register online and pay at the door (Cash or E-transfer only please, sorry but no debit or credit), or you can register in-person and pay at the door.  It would be great if you could also email us and let us know you will be attending. We love getting advance notice so that our Administrators know in advance you are coming! Or... just drop-in. Either way is fine.
  • Students for Tuesday Health Qigong must register on this site so you can get the Zoom Link. You can pay by e-transfer only.
  • If you are dropping in via-Zoom, for either the Saturday or Tuesday class, you’ll want to ensure that when you register that you get your Zoom link at least 12 hours prior to the start of the class. Once registered through the on-line system the Zoom link will automatically be sent to you.
  • Please join your Zoom class at least 10 minutes prior to start of your first class with your Video in “On” position so we can verify you.  We request that all On-Line students keep their Video in the “On” position throughout the class and that we can see, at least, your upper body.
  • Registration for our new Health Qigong classes starts August 6th. Get on our E-list and be the first to get updated information!
UPDATE FOR TAI CHI DROP-INS - NEW SEPTEMBER CLASSES 2024
  • It is always best to drop-in to a TQ Spirit Tai chi Class within first 2-3 weeks of the start of a new Tai Chi session. Drop-ins may be limited depending on how many register in full. Four-packs are available and these are the best way to get to know "what is tai chi". Single drop-ins are also available but we highly recommend the 4 pack so that you will really experience this ancient health regime and all it has to offer for your own personal health and wellness.
  • If you are new to tai chi, you might not know that it is during the first few weeks the Instructor will be teaching important basics that are important for every Newbie to learn. If you cannot make it during the first 2-3 weeks, please contact us directly for other ways we can get you up-to-speed with the classes you have missed. We have a few options you can consider.
  • Many tai chi classes will teach Part 1 in September 2024, and Part 2 in January 2025. In order to join in a tai chi class in January 2025 you may have to have previous experience or have taken Part 1 as a prerequisite. If you want to join in January 2025 but are not sure if a prerequisite is required, please CONTACT US.
  • You can drop-in Live-On-Zoom or In-Person for the Wednesday or Saturday tai chi classes. All other tai chi classes are In-Person only.
  • Please note that the Tai Chi classes fill up very quickly as space/spots for in-person classes, are limited. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your place in class.
  • If you decide to join in Live-On-Zoom you must register at least 12 hours in advance of your first class so that you can get the link to that first class.
  • You are welcome to send us an email and let us know what you will be attending as a In-Person or Live-On-Zoom Drop-in for Tai Chi. Contact Us. This is helpful as it will allow us to let our Administrators know in advance you are coming!
  • Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to the start of your first class.

“The year of the Wood Dragon is believed to be favorable for harnessing positive and powerful energies. Learning Tai Chi and Qigong, ancient Chinese practices that are associated with promoting well-being, balance and harmony within oneself, can help in your journey.

Exploring new practices can be enriching, especially if you have a genuine curiosity about them.

If you’re looking for ways to improve your health, manage stress, increase flexibility, or cultivate mindfulness, join a class and discover what it can do for you.

These classes are perfect for Newbies as detailed instructions are always provided. Long-time students of Health Qigong, some with over 15 years of experience with our Community, tell us they love the variety practiced. You can check out our testimonials here: TESTIMONIALS

When attending an In-Person Drop-In class at any of the locations, please arrive at least 15-20 minutes in advance of your first class as there may be an additional waiver to sign. There will be someone there to welcome you.
