24 form Taijiquan at SASS - Part 2
This 1.5 hour class at St. Andrews, St. Stephens Presbyterian Church (SASS), is in-person class only.
This class is unique in that it will be comprised of a mix of long-time students (called Level 2 Beginners and Intermediates) practicing alongside Level 1 Beginners.
Since we are teaching Part 2 of the 24 form, new students must already have the basics of tai chi plus some knowledge of Part 1 of the 24 form.
Newbies can sign up for the April 2022 session. The information can now be found in our New! SPRING section of our website. Registration will be available starting March 6th. Check out what is available.
Part 1 has already been taught during the September-December 2021. Part 2 of the 24 form is being taught in this January 2022-March 2022 session. Students who wish to join Part 2 should have some experience in Tai Chi.

More Information About 24 Form
Tai Chi is learned as a series of movements. By mastering several movements in combination you will have learned a tai chi “form” or set. The easiest forms to learn, and the best for Newbies, are the short forms which are usually comprised of 14 – 24 movements in length.
Level 2 Beginners and Intermediates benefit greatly by revisiting a form they once learned and repeating the learning process. Every class you will learn something new about your mind-body coordination, focus, and flow.
Tai chi can improve both lower-body strength and upper-body strength.Tai chi strengthens both the lower and upper extremities as well as the core muscles of the back and abdomen. Tai chi can boost upper and lower-body flexibility as well as strength. Learning the 24 Form will introduce you to “what is tai chi” in the best possible way.
Learning 24 Form is an excellent alternative or addition to jogging or aerobics and for those with limited time or health for exercise.
